About Us

About the Alliance Française de Birmingham

The Alliance Française de Birmingham is a place to learn and immerse yourself in all things French. We are a dynamic network of local, independent individuals passionate about promoting the French language and celebrating francophone cultures.

Fundamentally maintained by membership dues and donations from individuals and foundations, the Alliance Française de Birmingham aims to developing cultural exchanges between the United States and other French-speaking countries, and at promoting the study of French while fostering friendship between French and American people mainly through the organization of social and cultural events and French language classes.

It is my honor to serve as the President of the Alliance Française. I would like to thank Serge Bokobza and Margaret Bond for their leadership in the past and for sustaining our chapter of the Alliance over the years.

We are a growing committed group of French speakers and Francophiles, and we welcome new members and visitors. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions about our activities. I look forward to welcoming you to our group.
